Rated 5 out of 5 by Would Recommend to All My Friends Let me start off by saying, I have used Levels 3-2 and now 1. I had a robotic radical prostatectomy 4 months ago. I started off with Level 3 because of it's absorbency,They fit nicely, not bulky, did not show with pleated pants. I was then able to use the Level 2 as I just did not have incontinence as I expected to have. I am now using Level 1. I am and was satisfied with each level. They are not noticeable. They have a great shape and therefore a great fit. They do not leak. I did not have to worry about smells. I use the Level 1 on a daily basis for my own confidence. Thanks Tena, for making a man's product we do not have to be embarrassed to use. July 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by men's guards i use these every day and trust that i'm not going to leak, i'm just leaking a small amount if i squat to pick up anything over 25lbs. January 14, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coverage area to small on lighter guards Very nice comfortable product the only improvement I would recommend is that these are men's product and men are different than women the lighter guards are to small in area covered I sometimes if active or laying down get outside the coverage area December 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by overall very satisfied with the product started using tena pads ffor moderate leakage. They do the trick December 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by great protection These shields work great and are easy to use.To bad they are not available Tried to order, waited for back-order for a month, had to cancel order and.I have to purchase from another brand. December 22, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Product If Leakage Is Light I purchased Tena's men's guards level 1. I really liked the size of the guards, but it turned out that my leakage was too heavy for this level of guards. I think these guards would be excellent for light leakage. It turned out that I needed level 3. November 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just Right Was looking for a guard that was not too large but yet comfortable to wear all day. This is it. Tried the new black shield but they were to light for daily use. will be ordering these from now on. November 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best in class Comfortable, absorbent, great shape/ size. This pad is far superior to the main competitor found in most retail stores. Worth the expense and trouble to order November 26, 2016

Answer:
Each level is slightly more absorbent by volume, slightly thinner in padding, and slightly longer in length with level 1 being the lightest.
Performance of each level is outstanding. I have tried levels 1 and 2, and find, for me anyway, that both perform great, I am leaning toward the level 2 for heavy workout such as hiking on rough trails or running, The level 1's for me are great for easy going days or functions such as "suit" days. both "breath" very well with no odors.

Answer:
The difference between levels 1, 2 and 3 is in the size of the pad that is in proportion of the amount of leaking, lowes level for light leakings and the levels increase in proportion of the leaking.

Answer:
Level 1 would be for "light" protection, light leakage; while Level 3 would be for the "heavy" protection, heavier leakage. If you are just starting to use these guards, I would recommend starting with the Level 1 pad, since you could use multiple pads/day if needed. If you begin with Level 3, you may find that you don't need that much absorbency and you may end up not using those which you have purchased. While wearing the pads, one can feel the thickness and this may, or may not, impact your comfort level.

Answer:
Yes. For the occasional dribbles the level 1 is perfect. And not bulky to wear. But I did start with the level 2 soon after surgery. but as the leakage diminished I switched to the level 1

Answer:
Size and bulk increase from level 1 to 3, along with total capacity of absorbed fluid. Depends on level of incontinece as to choice of pad. I use all 3 , depending on expected degree of incontinence that day. My situation depends on activity level, duration of wear, time spent standing vs sitting and alcohol consumption

Answer:
The stage 1 guards are great for mild to moderate incontinence. If you find that you need more than one a day then I recommend the stage 3. I have never tried the stage 2. I personally use the stage 1 guards every day that I do not work. When I work and I am getting up and down a lot the stage 1 guards were not handling the problem so I tried stage 3 and found they did the job.

I've used the level1 for ten years and for not too serious leakage they are fine. I have 3's as well but have used them only occasionally if I did not have access to a bathroom or "tree" in my location.

Absorbent capacity and size/bulk. Level 1 is for occasional dribble or light drainage. Level 2 is intermediate and level 3 is for heavy drainage. I use all 3 at different times depending on expected activity and social setting. All 3 are great products and I stopped using other brands since I found this line of product. Very much more user friendly

Answer:
Thanks for your question. That's correct, the TENA Men Protective Shields and Guards are designed to work with briefs or underwear that fit snugly against your body. Unfortunately they will not be able to prevent leaks as designed with a loose fitting underwear. For more questions please call 1-866-ASK-TENA
