Prostate Cancer & Incontinence
In 2009 TENA teamed up with Men's Health Network, a leading men's health advocacy organization and Us TOO International, a nationwide prostate cancer education and support organization, to spread the word about prostate cancer and incontinence in men.
Did you know that research shows that one in six men in the U.S. will get prostate cancer during his lifetime? A prostate cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming as you navigate doctor visits and undergo treatment. Additionally, you can be faced with intrusive side effects of the condition and treatment, including the common side effect of urinary incontinence. The good news is that studies show that for most men recovering from prostate cancer incontinence symptoms are temporary. Click here to download a brochure from Us TOO and TENA to learn more.
Our combined efforts provided educational tools to help spread awareness to men about urinary incontinence causes and treatment solutions, while encouraging men and their loved ones to start talking about incontinence issues.
